Today's aircraft contribute around 2.5% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall.JetZero is developing a blended wing aircraft. It uses 50% less fuel and can accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. You will be responsible for the planning, coordination management and end-to-end integration delivery of components and systems on the aircraft.JetZero is a place for people who are ambitious, talented, and humble. This role is based in Long Beach, CA reporting to the Director, Integration.What You'll Do

  • The position will require cross-disciplinary collaboration, requirements analysis, understanding system design and architecture, verification and validation, and fault diagnosis/troubleshooting.
  • Support development of integration schedule tracking and outlook of critical program milestones while communicating project status, risks, and issues.
  • Define, coordinate and control the functional and physical interfaces between the systems and the vehicle.
  • Involve working unusually complex technical problems and leading multidisciplinary/multi-system integration efforts.
  • Develop, maintain and identify improvements for the planning, organization, and monitoring of requirements, processes, risks, issues and recommendations for solutions.You have a Startup Mindset - We are a small team with big ambitions.     • BS or MS degree from an accredited college or university in engineering (mechanical)
    • 10+ years of experience performing mechanical and electrical component/systems integration within aviation industry is required.
    • 5+ years of experience in aircraft structures and/or systems integration preferred.
    • Supported diverse, complex and cross function technical integration projects.
    • Prior experience with conceptual design, testing, validation, and integration of aircraft systems including engines, landing gear, fuel, electrical, harness design, hydraulics and environmental control systems.
    • Familiarity with practical application of DO-160
    • Working knowledge of aerospace engineering processes, certification requirements, and familiarity with flight test operations (FAR Part 21/25, Microsoft Project software, CAD (NX, Solidworks) and PLM Systems (TeamCenter))
    • Excellent communication skills and a self-starter that takes initiative without supervision.The Benefits
