Volt is immediately hiring for a CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator in Torrance, California.

As a CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator, you will:

Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and materials to determine machining processes.
Select, install, and adjust tools, fixtures, and attachments for various machining operations.
Perform first-article inspections and make necessary machine adjustments to ensure product quality.
Monitor the machining process, detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting as needed.
Conduct routine maintenance on machines and ensure they are operating efficiently.
Document production activities and maintain accurate quality logs.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to improve processes and resolve issues.
Keep the work area clean and organized to ensure efficient operations.

This is a full-time Temp-to-Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator.
Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operations.
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings.
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Knowledge of various materials and their machining properties.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st shift (6:00am - 2:30pm)

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
